How I work

I work to create a safe, respectful, accepting non-judgemental environment that values mutual respect, trust and transparency. In general, how I work with you depends on who you are and what you bring and what your needs are. Thus, using integrative, evidence based and collaborative approaches, I tailor therapy to meet a client's own personal needs and to achieve their goals.
I work closely and collaboratively together with clients across a wide range of mental health, personal growth and development issues. My training and experience enables me to draw on elements of a wide range of research-based approaches to create the best therapy programme for each individual rather than being limited to any one particular method of therapy.
I work with a whole-person approach to therapy, which addresses integration across these three key aspects of our self: mind, body and spirit - to find a way home to our true, unconditioned nature and the individual that we are meant to be.
We can learn to work with the natural rhythms of our body through developing body consciousness:
· life is lived in the present moment
· body awareness keeps us in the present moment
· the body is our true "home"
· healing happens in the relaxed present
· health is not something we acquire but a constant balance in the present
· stress can be positive and stimulate creativity but the wrong kinds of stress can create illness and body consciousness can help
us recognize the difference
· we learn not through reading self-help books but through feeling our bodies connect to the earth by gravity
Regular weekly sessions provide a steady platform to uncover what really matters inside, and help you find balance and resolution.
